Survived another holiday with the ungrateful lazy people. Very surprised was not one argument. Even my mom's very shy Greyhound joined the group. He got some doggie treats and then retreated his bed.
I ran the sweeper before everyone got my mom's. Did the dishes for her too. Everyone else just sat on their ass.
My nephew is in a group home for mentally/intellectually challenged. We talked to him on zoom. I haven't seen him in person for years because the group home doesn't let him visit with my sister. She is considered "not fit" to take care of him even for a few hours.
An uncle passed away a few days ago on his 89th birthday. Can't go to the service because I work and no one informed me in enough time for me to get the time off.
Oh well, on with another year of, whatever.

Every so often I think about things from another time that I actually liked. Places that used to exist in my Hometown, people I used to know, TV shows that are no longer. Makes me miss my Dad. If he were still here, I would not have moved back to my hometown to make sure my mother is okay.
My dad would have made sure she was taken care of, but instead that has fallen on me. My other family members are not reliable. I don't wait for my mother to call and ask for something to get done. I just show up and take care of things.
Other family members do not work, do not go to school and literally have nothing to do but steal oxygen from the air. I work 40hrs a week and I work nights and I still manage to take care of what I can for my mother. If my dad were still here, I would be somewhere else doing something else with people I like and actually like me.
I changed the course of my life to make sure my mother would be okay after my dad passed. No other family member has done that. They all just kept on going with their lives without a care. Then to top it all off, my mother gives them whenever they ask. Basically, they can't go out and work for because that cuts into their "" time.
I wish my dad was still here because then maybe I could live my life without a care in the world. And I wouldn't have to do snow removal from two houses, just one.

Its Black Friday and I'm looking for good deals. About 2 years ago a major department store shut down in my area. That building then became a marketplace for many local businesses. For example, somebody is selling collectibles, another is selling home decor, one is selling homemade candles and soaps. There is a local furniture store that decided to put some of their overflow of furniture in this building.
I'm in need of a sofa and its Black Friday. So I go in and look around and actually find a sofa in my price range and the color I want. I show the woman at the front which sofa I want. I ask if they deliver, she said yes but there is a fee. No problem.
The fee is $100 to deliver and a 4% fee for using a credit card. What?! I told her I was no longer interested in buying that sofa and walked out.
I then go to a furniture store just outside of town. I look around and find a sofa on sale and its a very soft leather. I couldn't believe the sale price. I tell the guy I want that sofa and do they deliver. He said yeah and its a $25 delivery fee. He said they will call to set a time deliver. I said great and gave him my credit card. No extra fee.
My town is much like small towns. You can't buy local because they add so many fees, are already too expensive or do not have the selection. This is why people are buying online or going to larger areas with better shopping.
I wanted to buy local. I didn't want to be that bitch buying shit from Amazon, Wayfair or Overstock. But I won't be gouged either. I could easily have bought a sofa for around the same price online with free delivery. But I wanted the money I spent to stay local. The furniture store I bought from actually has 2 stores and they are always very friendly.
So there's my story on the woes of shopping.

On November 24th @ 4am I will be 51 yrs old. Does that make me over the hill once I pass age 50? Should one even care? I just figure I would ask all the properly woke people out there. They definitely have the correct answer. Wouldn't want the cancel culture to cancel me for not properly identifying myself.

If there are Aliens living here, who are they? How does one spot an Alien? Where do they come from that makes Earth so appealing that they would want live here? Maybe they are the rejects of their kind and got left behind? Maybe they were too dumb to figure out their way back to the ship before it was scheduled to take off? Probably a male type that couldn't read a map and refused to ask for directions. LOL
I'm at work with nothing to do and I'm bored. This is just something that crossed my mind.

When Being A Karen Works

I moved into the house I bought in April. Since then I have had poor cell service. But let back up a little.
I have Verizon Wireless. I have been having issues with cell service in my hometown for the past year. I blame Verizon. Everyday was hit or miss if you got any bars. Prior to 4G, my hometown got great service. Then 4G came and there have been issues. Sometimes you have bars and sometimes you don't. Then there are the dropped calls and the whole thing being down for an unknown reason that Verizon can't explain.
So in April when I moved into my house, I noticed NO service. I thought it was my phone (it was 4 yrs old). So I bought a new one about 3 wks ago. Again, NO cell service. I can use WiFi for data, but if I try using it to call anyone, They can't hear me and hang up. This is all very frustrating.
Everywhere I go in the entire county has horrible service. So I said enough is enough. While on my vacation, I decided to complain. I could only use chat services on their website. That didn't go well.
Over 2 days I chatted with 3 different Techs that read the same fucking script. Essentially, they are trained to keep saying it is your phone. I demanded that they provide the service I for or they lower my bill substantially. That got nowhere.
So I went to the BBB and filed a complaint against Verizon. I detailed everything in the complaint. Yada Yada Yada........So now, I'm getting a signal booster at no cost . I'm hoping this works. Otherwise, I might have to try another carrier.
Lastly, when I looked through the online Verizon Community Boards I found something interesting. Someone else complaining about the exact same issue I was complaining about. The person was from Illinois and stated that Verizon has been going down hill with quality of cell service for a few years but emphatically denies it. This person claims that Verizon is purposefully reducing cell signal so they can justify new equipment and pass the cost onto the consumer.
I believe that claim. It's what all businesses do.
So you see, this is a time when being a "Karen" is working in my favor. So the Millennial and Gen Z people who are happy with shitty service AND paying for such shitty service because they don't want to be called a "Karen"........All cell phones matter.

I am curious as why Sexy Party Weekend Make your weekend Sexy put up warnings about scammers and catphishers? They've known about them from the beginnings of this site and did nothing about it. Now, there are these warnings as if say, "We here at Sexy Party Weekend Make your weekend Sexy are going continue let them on our site, but it is up you weed them out." The real warning they should put up is, "All users of this site do so at your own risk and we take NO responsibility for any wrong doing."

I recently had 3 sheds on my property torn down. The person that did the work was not paid for his labor. Instead, he was told to take whatever materials he wanted from the tear down and make whatever he could and keep what materials he wanted for himself. Today he removed the metal and hauled it to the recycling center to get paid for that. He also took some of the gutters and down spouts for his home. Now all that is left is the wood from the sheds.
I put ads out on , Letgo and Craigslist for FREE Scrap Wood. I get these responses. Some want me too deliver the wood to them. That is a big hell no. The wood is free, come and get it yourself. People respond that they want the wood but won't commit to a date and time. people said they would be here today to get the wood, NO SHOWS.
WTF????? It's FREE wood. I see people with ads of wood for sale, but never any free wood. I never would have thought it would be this difficult to give away free wood. Lesson learned. And the wood is certainly reusable to those with the creative know how.

I have 2 days left on my vacation and nothing has gone well the entire time I have been off work.
Verizon is ignoring my pleas for help. I have spent the last 2 days trying to get them to address my cell signal. I can't make calls or receive calls from my house, but everyone else can use their phones. I even got a new phone this week and still the same shit. No signal. I have spoken to 3 people over the last 2 days and when they realize it isn't the phone, they end chat. So I made a report to the BBB. I don't know what else to do except try driving around the whole fucking county until I find an area with enough bars where I can make a call. This shit is just ridiculous.
I haven't really accomplished anything that I needed to over this vacation. My mower needs fixed and it is still under warranty. I have to take it to a repair place that is 30 miles away if I want the manufacturer to pay for the repairs.
I can't make any calls with my phone, so I can't call any refuse services to get prices on roll off containers. I really need one to get rid of a lot of crap that was left behind by the previous owner. Plus I need to remove the disgusting carpeting and foam padding so I can start refinishing the hardwood floors underneath.
I'm so fucking irritated with everyone and everything right now. Hopefully my vacay in October is better. Last year I spent my summer vacation recovering from foot surgery and then in October I had what I now believe was COVID. So my life sucks right now, how about everyone else?
